Canadian Series Halfpipe & Slopestyle

The weekend of Jan 6-8 saw 6 of our Freeriderz athletes compete in the Canadian Series Halfpipe and Slopestyle events at Canada Olympic Park. Despite the high winds all of our athletes did extremely well, some of them competing for the first time in the sport.

Only one of our athletes, Mark Hendrickson competed on Saturday in the Halfpipe event, making it to the finals where he placed 5th. It was great to see some of our athletes and parents there to cheer him on.

Sunday, our athletes competed in 3 heats, all placing respectively. Again thanks to the athletes, parents and families who came out to show their support and cheer on our boys.  Thanks to coach Mike for the extra time spent training our boys for this event over the Christmas holidays and to coach Brent Callow, 403 Media, who spend both days filming the athletes runs. Also a big thank you to all the parent volunteers, judges and officials who made this event so successful. These events would not happen with out your dedication and support.
