Canada Post Freestyle Grand Prix
Thanks to the many of you who have responded and indicated your interest in helping with the Canada Post Freestyle Grand Prix World Cup in January. We have had a tremendous response, both from returning volunteers, and from many new volunteers. We are looking forward to working with everyone and promise that once again, it will be a great time! For those that have responded, you will have received an email back from us with an indication of the crew you will be working with. We will be working with our crew leaders to finalize the detailed schedule (dates and times) and will be getting back to you with these details in the next few weeks. In the meantime, we are still looking for volunteers, specifically:
*Course Workers, both Moguls and Aerials
We need course workers to help shape and maintain the courses, the weekend prior to the World Cup event (Jan 22-23), as well as days and evenings starting Jan 24, through till the end of the event on Jan 29. If you are comfortable working on the course, on your skis and can help out, even for a day, we would appreciate your help!
*Shuttle Drivers and Parking Marshalls
Drivers and Parking Marshalls are needed on event days, Jan 27-29. This is your chance to meet and chat with VIPs and athletes! (Shuttle drivers also get the added bonus of staying warm!)
*Banner Crew
The banner crew assists in the installation of sponsor banners on the courses (Jan 25-26) and maintenance of the banners during the event (Jan 27-29)
* Survey Crew
We are looking for about 25 people to distribute surveys to the crowd on the Saturday of the eventJan 29.
If you have any questions, concerns or interested in volunteering, please have them email freestyleskiingvolliesalberta@gmail.com.
For your calendar: Volunteer Orientation will be held in January, approximately one week prior to the event at COP. It is very crucial that all volunteers attend the orientation. An email will be sent out to all volunteers when the exact date and time have been set.
**We are also looking for course workers to help maintain the courses for the Noram event, Feb 2-6
